Good guesthouse close to Vinh Moc Tunnels

Traveling between Phong Na and Hue the tunnels in Vinh Moc is a perfect stop over. If you’re on a motorbike you’d wanna stay of the highway as much as possible. The small coastal roads in the area is a joy driving. Therefore it could be good to now that there are small a small hotel in the village Cua Tung (7 km from Vinh Moc).

A even better stay is the guesthouse a couple of hundred meters up the road (north from Cua Tung). The couple is super friendly, the rooms are neat and clean, there’s hot water in the showers, sea view and amazing dinner. We even got our helmets cleaned (as a surprise) and bottles of water before we left. They really made us feel at home.

We paid 200′ dong for a double room and 140′ dong for dinner and breakfast. The dinner was a lovely never ending story with beef, squid, fish, eggs, rice and vegetables.

The older couple doesn’t speak english, but they have (at least) three sons who probably will show up for dinner. They now some english. If they’re not there, they’ll make a phone call to get someone to translate if there’s something that needs to be communicated.

How to get here: aim for Cua Tung (A). Just north of the village, when the roads two lanes turnes into one small, the guesthouse is in a white house on the oceanside.
